The Challenge

As the Brand Designer at Mercedes-Benz.io, my challenge was to revamp the company’s visual identity while maintaining its core elements—font and primary colors (black, white, and blue). The goal was to align the brand more closely with Mercedes-Benz’s visual legacy while reflecting the company’s growth and increasing visibility across multiple channels, events, and digital platforms. The new identity needed to make a stronger impact and differentiate Mercedes-Benz.io from other tech companies.

The Goal

The brand refresh aimed to:

  • Strengthen the connection with the Mercedes-Benz brand while maintaining a unique identity.
  • Showcase the evolution of Mercedes-Benz.io as it celebrated its 5th anniversary.
  • Enhance brand presence across events, digital platforms, and external communications.
  • Incorporate elements of modernity, movement, and digital luxury to reflect the company’s purpose.

The Solution

Through an iterative design process, I developed a cohesive and dynamic visual system, introducing:

  • A vivid pink as a complementary color to contrast with the existing palette and add energy.
  • Organic, non-static shapes to create a sense of movement and fluidity.Gradients to bring depth and a futuristic feel.
  • Modern iconography aligned with a sleek and digital-forward aesthetic.
  • A cohesive photographic library emphasizing movement, dynamism, and depth.

By refining these elements, the new branding positioned Mercedes-Benz.io as a bold, future-focused, and distinctive tech company within the Mercedes-Benz Group while reinforcing its unique identity in the industry.
